EQ8 - Only Edit Images Once

Note: This post contains affiliate links. I may receive a small commission (at no extra cost to you) if you click a link and make a purchase.

Previously, I posted about editing fabric swatches in EQ8. If you missed that post, you can find it here. You might be thinking that's great and all, but those edited fabrics are only in whatever project I was working on. Do I have to edit them again if I want to use those same fabrics in another project?

Luckily, the answer is no! Today I am going to give you a quick tip on how to get edited fabric swatches from one project into another. Let's get started!

Friday Fabric Refresh - Sugar Twist

Happy Friday!  Earlier this week, I shared the pillow I made using the block from my Sugar Twist quilt that is in the Best of Moda Bake Shop book.  I decided that would make this week the perfect opportunity to feature Sugar Twist for Friday Fabric Refresh!

The original quilt from the book is shown above and features Sugarcreek by Corey Yoder.  Corey always has gorgeous fabric, but of course it's always fun to see how quilts look in other fabrics!

Best of Moda Bake Shop Pillow Parade

Friday Fabric Refresh - Metro

Happy Friday!  Earlier this week, I released a new pattern called Metro.  Metro is a modern-looking honey bun or charm pack friendly pattern and I used the upcoming Balboa collection from Sherri and Chelsi.  I love the colors in that collection, but it's always fun to see how a quilt will look in different fabrics!

EQ8 - Editing Fabric Swatches

Note: This post contains affiliate links. I may receive a small commission (at no extra cost to you) if you click a link and make a purchase.

Hello! Today, I'm back with some more tips for using Electric Quilt 8. Previously, I talked about importing fabric images into the software. This week, I'm going to give you some tips on editing those fabric images.

You might be wondering why you would need to edit the images you want to import. Well, you might not. I used EQ8 for several years without editing my imports. It's only been over the past year or so that I started playing around with the Image Worktable and it was the result of a new problem I was trying to solve.
