Friday Fabric Refresh - Stay Gold by Melody Miller for Ruby Star Society

Happy Friday! I'm extra excited today because my day job added Martin Luther King Day as a company holiday this year so I have a three-day weekend! I'm also excited because the long-awaited Ruby Star Society collection Stay Gold is finally arriving in stores!  I think the precuts have been out for a bit, but the yardage is finally here.  To celebrate, I'm featuring Stay Gold for my latest edition of Friday Fabric Refresh!

When I first saw this collection, I thought it was too bright for my tastes.  I don't often choose very bright saturated fabrics.  After seeing some of the quilt mockups included in Moda's catalog, I decided to give it a try.  I snagged an early release layer cake months ago and made a second sample of my recent Stay Square quilt pattern.  

I liked it so much that I redid the cover of my pattern at the last minute so that Stay Gold could be featured as the cover quilt!  If you want to see more of my Stay Gold Stay Square quilt (say that three times fast!), you can check out the blog post here.

This collection has continued to grow on me so I had to give it its very own post.  It also seems to be very popular as I've already heard rumors of it selling out at some shops!  

Friday Fabric Refresh - Cozy Up

Happy Friday!  Have you seen the Cozy Up collection by Corey Yoder?  If you love fall, you will absolutely fall in love with this fabric!  Cozy Up began showing up in shops in the past week but I have a feeling it will go fast!  Don't wait if you want to get your hands on some.  

This week I am refreshing some of my patters in Cozy Up and I can't wait to show you!

Friday Fabric Refresh - Log Jam Part 1

Happy Friday! Not only is it Friday, but it's the day before National Sew a Jelly Roll Day that is sponsored by Moda Fabrics and celebrates all things jelly roll!  If you're new to this annual celebration, check out Moda's blog post about it here. 

I'm celebrating this week by releasing my latest jelly roll pattern, Log Jam.  It's a log cabin quilt and it's super fun!  I used Tarry Town fabric by Kimberly Kight for Ruby Star Society for the cover quilt.

Friday Fabric Refresh - Cider

Hello and happy Friday! This week felt like it flew by but I am also really looking forward to the weekend!  I don't have any errands to run so I should get lots of sewing time!  I'm currently sewing up a sample for a new pattern that will be released later this year.  I'm using Cider by Basic Grey for Moda Fabrics.  This collection has been long-awaited and it is finally in quilt shops!  I think it's going to be very popular so don't wait if you want to get your hands on some!

I decided to refresh some of my patterns in Cider for this week's Friday Fabric Refresh.  I might have gone a little overboard and I have lots of refreshed quilt patterns to show you today!  Let's jump right in!

First up is Window Box, which is a jelly roll pattern.  This pattern continues to be one of my bestsellers and I'm glad you all like it so much!

Friday Fabric Refresh - Good Fortunes

Hello and happy Friday!  I finally released my Good Fortunes pattern earlier this week!  This one took WAY longer than I planned, but better late than never, right?  Now that it's finally here, it's time to share some refreshed versions in different fabrics in case the fabric I used doesn't appeal to you.

The photo is above is my version of Good Fortunes using Lella Boutique's newest collection, Folktale  This fabric is so pretty and looks even better in person!  I love the dot fabric that I used for the background so much that I bought a whole bolt of it and I'm not sure that's going to be enough!

 

I know that everyone has different fabric tastes though so that's why I'm sharing some new versions of Good Fortunes with you today.  Let's jump right in!

Friday Fabric Refresh - Shine On

Hello and happy Friday!  For those who celebrate Thanksgiving, I hope you had an enjoyable and safe holiday yesterday.  If you're lucky enough to have today off from work, I hope you get to spend some time sewing!  

Bonnie and Camille's newest collection, Shine On recently arrived in quilt shops and maybe you're looking for ideas for what to sew with it.  Well, you're in luck!  For today's Friday Fabric Refresh, I am sharing some of my patterns refreshed in Shine On.  

Friday Fabric Refresh - Garden Charm

Happy Friday!!  Who else feels like this year is flying by extra fast all of a sudden?  I feel like I'm so behind on everything!  Normally, I would feature a pattern on a Friday Fabric Refresh post after I've released the pattern.  

With 2020 being such a weird year, and with so many things not going according to plan, I decided to do things backwards and show you some refreshed versions first!  I hope to have the pattern ready before the end of the month, but I'm not making any promises!
